Robert W. (Trey) Schroeder III is United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Texas, Texarkana Division. He was nominated by President Obama on June 26, 2014, confirmed by the Senate on December 16, 2014 and received his commission on December 19, 2014.

Judge Schroeder was in private practice from 1999 to 2014, and he represented individuals and corporations in the federal and state courts of Texas and Arkansas. His practice included general civil and commercial litigation. He previously served in the White House as Associate Counsel to the President, and he clerked for Judge Richard S. Arnold of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He received his law degree from Washington College of Law at American University in 1994 and his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1989.
