Janis Gorton began her career at Berg & Androphy in 2008, and she has worked almost exclusively on Qui Tam litigation since that time. Many of her cases have involved fraud pertaining to government health care programs, including fraudulent pharmaceutical price inflation, fraudulent reporting of usual and customary (U&C) prices, kickbacks associated with Medicare and Medicaid programs, Stark violations, billing for medically unnecessary services and services not provided, provision of worthless services and off-label marketing. Ms. Gorton has also handled cases involving whistleblower retaliation claims, procurement fraud related to contracts with the Department of Defense, as well as mortgage fraud.
