Brian J. Resler
Brian J. Resler is the Assistant Deputy Chief for Litigation in the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section of the United States Department of Justice. Mr. Resler joined CCIPS in 2015, and has handled numerous criminal trade secret and trademark investigations and prosecutions, including two recent trials in theft of trade secret cases. He currently advises on computer crime and intellectual property prosecutions throughout the country, provides training for agents and prosecutors, and speaks extensively on intellectual property crimes. He also regularly meets with the National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center in Crystal City, VA, as well as private industry and other government sections on a variety of investigations and initiatives.
Mr. Resler has over 20 years of experience as a state and federal prosecutor, having served as an Assistant District Attorney in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin from 1995 to 2005, and an Assistant United States Attorney in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 2005 to 2015.
