Tracey M. Batson currently serves as the Executive Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas. She joined the Eastern District in the Beaumont office in 1992 as one of four prosecutors nationwide to become an AUSA directly from law school. She moved to the Plano office in 2002.

Tracey has 31 years of experience in prosecutions involving violent crime, firearm related offenses, narcotics distribution, fraud, child exploitation, hate crimes and civil rights violations. In 2019, Tracey was selected for a one-year detail with the Organized Crime and Gang Section in Washington DC. She graduated from the University of Houston Law Center and received her undergraduate degree from Baylor University. Tracey prosecuted a hate crime case involving four defendants who carjacked, restrained, assaulted, and extorted their victims based on their sexual orientation. That case received national press coverage.
