
Marshal J. Hoda

Marshal is the founder of The Hoda Law Firm. He dedicates nearly 100% of his practice to representing victims of cybercrime, both in civil litigation and as law-enforcement liaison. Marshal has been a leader in developing investigative techniques and legal theories for the redress of cryptocurrency-enabled investment fraud—the so-called “pig-butchering scams”— that are the topic of his panel presentation.
Before founding The Hoda Law Firm, Marshal worked at Gibbs & Bruns, LLP, in Houston and clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit for Judge Amul R. Thapar. He is a graduate of Berkeley Law, a former Ranger for the National Park Service, and a Mississippi native.
